In-form Liverpool went level on points with leaders Manchester City and Arsenal as they came out on top in a highly entertaining contest which was probably torture for both managers.
Emre Can gave Liverpool an early lead before Dejan Lovren’s mistake let in James McArthur to equalise for Palace with an 18th minute header.
Lovren made amends by heading Liverpool back in front just four minutes later only for McArthur to score another header.
Liverpool defender Joel Matip scored in the 44th minute before Roberto Firmino wrapped it up with a brilliant finish in the 71st minute.
